Classic Bruschetta

Thing’s You’ll Need

  • Ripe Vine Tomatoes

  • Red Onion

  • Garlic

  • Olive Oil

  • Balsamic Vinegar

  • Fresh Basil

  • Parmesan Cheese

  • Italian Bread

  • Spices (Salt, Black Pepper, Crushed Red Pepper, Garlic Powder)

 

Tip #1 Taste Taste Taste!

 

Dice up tomatoes and red onions.  Next chop up garlic and fresh basil. Amounts of each ingredient depend upon taste. I did about 4 tomatoes, half a large red onion, 6 cloves of garlic, and about a half a cup of fresh basil.  

 

Now add in about 3 tablespoons of olive oil, a couple of dashes of balsamic vinegar, salt, black pepper, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder. Mix It Up!  Toast up your bread, place bruschetta on top and sprinkle on some Parmesan cheese.

 

Suggestions:

  • Serve as an appetizer for any occasion!

  • Great as a snack with some red wine and cheese.

  • Toast it up in the oven with some fresh mozzarella for a toasty alternative =).
